The second phase of the of the kejetia redevelopment project is been delayed by traders refusing to relocate to the central market.
According to the project manager, Nana Agyenim Boateng, the project has delayed since the funds for the project had been released since February 2020 awaiting commencement of work.
“Let the people know the cost and effect of these things when people are littering around the streets and pavements,” he told Luv FM’s Prince Appiah.
According to Mr. Agyenim Boateng, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) in consultation with “these affected traders visited the sites of Abentsi, Railways and Racecourse. We’ve got the places ready to move in.”

He revealed this when the city authorities engaged stakeholders in what they call the Let-The-People Know campaign.
