Ghana has lost 7 doctors since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, nanansem.com can report.
The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has stated that since the pandemic started in Ghana the lives of seven (7) doctors has been lost.
The President of GMA, Dr. Frank Ankobea, speaking in an interview with Starr FM said in 2020, we lost five (5) doctors and since the beginning of this year we have lost another two (2).
“The number of doctors who are getting infected is increasing. We have lost 7 of them (2 this year and 5 last year),” he said.
The GMA president also said that, they are taking a close look at how things will go and if there is the need for an extra restriction, they will forward it to the President.
“We should take individual responsibility for ourselves and follow the basic rules and I’m sure we’ll be fine to go,” he said.
During the interview, he made mentioned that Over 800 nurses and midwives also tested positive for the virus.
He then advised the citizens to embrace on what the President said on Sunday.
